Our anti-CRISPR paper is accepted to publish in mSystems. This is our first paper in this new, arising, and exciting research field!

Catie (coming from NIU) and Yanbin (coming from UNL) attended the GLBio 2019 conference in Madison, Wisconsin, and presented posters on our CAZyme research and ORFan research

Sarah successfully defended her thesis at NIU, congratulations!

We successfully and officially closed our NIH R15 grant. Thank you NIH for supporting our ORFan bioinformatics research for four years!

Sarah's ORFanDB and comparative analysis paper is published in mSystems. This closed all our proposed tasks in the NIH R15 award.

Dr. Huansheng Cao of Fordham University joined the lab as a postdoc working on next generation sequencing of cyanobacterial genome/transcriptome and metagenome data analysis

Nathan McGinn of Computer Science department joined the lab as a undergraduate research assistant (supported by the URA grant) working on the dbCAN database and web interface development

Manju Rupani joined the lab as a bioinformatics data analyst working on the comparative study of cell wall related genes in fern and algae using public NGS data
